A fun example of how we go the extra mile happened when a curious cat got more than it bargained for. The cat's owner called multiple places, and couldn't even get anyone to call her back or come out to help. In desperation, she found our company. Here's the play by play:
A Cat Trapped In The Ductwork
On a typical California summer day, a unique distress call came to Stewart Heating & Air Conditioning: a homeowner's cat was trapped inside the ductwork of her home. She had called other companies and no one would even return her phone calls, let alone come to help. Stewart Heating & Air Conditioning responded by sending our Service Manager Ron Navarro to see what could be done.
Creativity Can Be Better Than Knowledge
Ron arrived on the scene and the call was indeed true - the cat was actually trapped inside the ductwork. This was a new one for his HVAC career, however Ron didn't achieve Service Manager status at Stewart Heating & Air Conditioning for a lack of creativity. He got to work fast for safe extraction of the beloved feline.

Saving The Cat
After locating the area of ductwork the cat was in, our service manager went to work:
Task 1. Ron crawled under the house to cut out the entire section of ductwork where the cat was trapped, pinching the open ends so it could not run out and end up in a worse situation.
Task 2. Then Ron hauled the section of ductwork into the home from under the house.
Task 3. Once safely inside Ron opened one end to set the cat free.
A Lesson Learned
Now safely out of the ductwork, this cat realized that not even the tastiest mouse was worth that again.
A Happy Customer
Even though the cat wasn't that interested in cuddling up to our service manager, Ron Navarro and Stewart Heating & Air Conditioning made another 100% satisfied customer (and Ron even got a $40 tip!
